Transferring RDOs

Transferring RDOs can now be done via email. Find out how you can save time by doing thing when you need to.

Transferring Revenue District Office (RDO) from one to another used to eat up almost the whole day, not to mention energy and patience. This process has greatly improved now that you can transact with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) for RDO changes via email.

Yes, you can! For RDO transfers at least, if you are earning purely compensation income.

But what is the correct RDO to use? And where to get the right email address?

First, you have to know that in 2019, they changed the RDO from business/employer address to residential address. You can reference BIR RMO 37-2019 for more on this. And here’s the Regional/District Office Directory.

Second, now that you know your residential RDO, find out which RDO you are currently on by checking your most recent BIR Form No. 2316. HR or Payroll or Accounting department/s usually send employees a copy annually. Either the paper document itself are distributed or sent via email or in a repository/tool, depending on the Company’s systems and processes.

And third, you will have to go to or to email this RDO (the RDO you are transferring from). The email address can also be found in the directory with link above. Send them a scanned copy of your filled-out BIR Form 1905 with signature and a valid government issued ID.

Finally, you will just have to wait for their confirmation email. Remember to keep this copy as you will need to submit this to your employer.

Who knew transferring RDOs is now as easy as 123! All the best!
